Service Description

Our Introductory ERP Consultation series supports clinicians interested in expanding their practice in the effective use of exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and related disorders. We will focus on case conceptualization skills and application of ERPx with varied presentations of OCD. Clinicians are expected to bring cases to discuss and to offer constructive advice to other consultees. Presenter: Dr. Jason Krompinger, PhD, has specialized in OCD for many years. Before joining NECOA as the Director of Training, he served as the Director of Psychological Services at Harvard Medical School/Mclean's OCD Institute. He is on the faculty of the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) at the IOCDF, and has published extensively on OCD and its treatment. CEs: 8 CEs PENDING for psychologists and BCBAs Course Dates: TBD Educational Objectives: At the end of this course, participants will be able to 1. Describe OCD and varying presentations 2. Describe the efficacy of ERP 3. Describe evidence-based assessment OCD and related conditions 4. Give a functional description of therapeutic alliance 5. Construct an exposure hierarchy or menu 6. Facilitate client willingness and choice using ACT 7. Design and conduct ERP exercises that support inhibitory learning 8. Conceptualize OCD cases in children, adolescents, and/or adults           9. Describe and address family accommodation in ERP treatment             10. Adapt treatment to address commonly comorbid conditions 11. Describe how to address cognitive rituals  Audience: Beginning and intermediate-level clinicians Cost: Cost: $400; There is an extra $15 fee for CEs.
